At the SkyTower at last

I can't believe I have moved to new zealand and i've been here for seven months already... AND have not been to the SkyTower all that time. I've sat on a bus stop right across it many times and I still didn't even know where the main entrance is. Finally, just this last weekend, along with a friend of mine who has been there, I stepped into the SkyTower for the very first time. Well, it was only at the first 4 levels though, but it was good enough for me.
It is a fairly impressive, touristic place with a few cafes, restaurants, bars, a theatre, a casino, a souvenir shop and a couple of adventure facilities. It is indeed designed to be a tourist destination on its own and a destination new zealanders can be proud of. We in our long coats walked in there, like tourists, to check out their famous entertainment facilities. Currently the SkyWalk is priced at $115 and the SkyJump, whoa... a staggering $195 . If you want to do both... 360 Walk and then JUMP then they have a price for you too, $240. I thought, OOOOH these daredevil stuff are scary, look at the prices and you're already falling. But I guess that has to be, because they have to maintain all those stuff to keep you from walking and jumping into the afterlife rather untimely.
When we, the humble tourists pondered on the prices, we decided that our "pocket money" must stay in the pocket for now. It is nice though, we stood there and watched a live video of the current jumper. And then learned that you get a cd of your entire jump, you get to watch yourself and realize either how gorgeously daring (... or hilarious) you looked. haha. I can already imagine myself.
