Everything Happens For A Reason

I have just heard from one of my closest friends recently, I knew she was worried about me for some time. And like her, surviving with flying colors is key. How amazing it is actually, that a small person can be as flexible as bamboo and as sturdy as an oak.

Things are better and untangled now. Still a little messy, but A-ok. I'm in nz, earning substantially well and doing things I like and I have a lot of bloopers already to help me (and other people) laugh at myself. Except during times when I am down with a bad cold, I think life is fun. Just sometimes, I feel a bit alone in the world, like when it was late in the night and I realized I didn't have enough brawn to open a can of watties speghetti or when the gas heater ran out of gas... Sometimes, you have to be your own hero!

Aside from the fact that I got my permanent residence permit already, I find myself successful here and I am slowly finding steady friends, not so many, just about 4 which is ok for me, the rest can be classified under acquaintances at the moment. I don't know when all this good luck will stop coming. I gained big, but I lost big. or maybe it's the other way around, I lost big but I gained big. What a contrast of events (extremes) and I'm still wondering what the reasons could be because as they say, everything happens for a reason. I look forward to that time when I'll be connecting the dots.
